Convert vs compress vs resize

Use Convert Image when you need a different file type. Compress Image still converts in Advanced → Output format when you also want a smaller file. Resize Image changes width and height.

How do I convert an image?

Drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP, choose a different output format, then select Convert image. Preview and download the result.

Does converting change the image dimensions?

No. Convert Image keeps the original width and height. Use Resize Image if you need different dimensions, or Compress Image if you mainly need a smaller file.

Can I convert PNG to JPEG?

Yes. JPEG cannot keep transparency, so transparent areas are flattened onto a white background. PNG and WebP can keep transparency.

Can I convert multiple images at once?

Not yet. Convert one image at a time, then choose another image for the next conversion.

Does FusionAI upload my images?

Conversion and download happen in your browser. An image is uploaded only if you are signed in and choose Save to Library.

Is the tool free?

Yes. You can convert images without an account and without spending FusionAI credits.
